About

Régime des Fleurs is a brand whose core message communicates the profundity found in flowers. As Siddhārtha Gautama wordlessly proclaimed in his most famous sermon, a single flower - like a messenger from another realm - contains a depth of beauty that has the power to elevate consciousness... and thereby heal.

Régime des Fleurs was founded in Los Angeles in 2014 by Alia Raza and Ezra Woods. Longtime friends and collaborators, Raza and Woods first bonded over a mutual love of flowers and an intense interest in perfume, eventually leading them to experiment with combining exquisite natural flower extractions for their personal use. This exploration created a space for conversations wherein Raza and Woods discovered shared mutual references and obsessions: a nostalgia for the fresh and bold aesthetic of the early 1990s, a connection to the opulence of the Ancien Régime as epitomized by the Château de Versailles, a fascination with the allegorical insights found in Classical mythology. Out of this creative exchange, Régime des Fleurs took form. In March 2014, Régime des Fleurs debuted with a collection of six handmade perfumes in three tiers: the Lyrics, the Ballads, and the Epic; in November 2014, they launched Collection Two, adding an additional Lyric, Ballad, and Epic.

The Debut Collection draws inspiration from the cultivated opulence of 18th century Europe, the pathos and restraint of 20th century high-modernism, and the visceral sensations invoked by real life flora. Using an exceptionally high percentage of the most exquisite natural ingredients sourced from around the world and state of the art aroma materials on the cutting edge of science, Régime des Fleurs has created fragrances with unique touches of the uncanny and curious, resulting in scents that are at once insightful and addictive. As a theme for the The Debut Collection, Régime des Fleurs explores various impressions of water and wetness - salty, oceanic, sweet, clear, damp, dewy, humid - towards conveying particular emotional states: tranquility in water/wood, exhilaration in nitesurf, grace in turquoise, concupiscence in Bel Époq, aloofness in Dove Grey, and awe in Nymphaea Caerulea.

Collection Two includes three new handmade perfumes, continuing the initiative to utilize unprecedented quantities of the most legendary and esoteric raw materials, from rare natural extractions to laboratory synthesized aromatic molecules. The new Lyric, Ballad and Epic blend historical eras - 20th Century America, 18th century Western Europe, Ancient Rome - and paint romantic landscapes that are both virgin and developed, like double-exposed photographs in fragrant form. Exploring texture in Collection Two, Régime des Fleurs presents evolving tactile impressions: effervescent to crystallized in freeworld, oily to silky in Fauna and juicy to bisque in Floralia. The result is a collection about cultural memory as something that can be communicated viscerally.
